What's the Difference?

Academic Excellence

We use the A Beka Book curriculum. A Beka is the premier curriculum for Christian schools and produces outstanding results in America and around the world. It is known for its strong intensive phonics program and traditional approach to math. Smaller class sizes allow our teachers to spend more one-on-one time with each student.

Low Tuition

BRCA’s remarkably low tuition is the difference that separates us from other good Christian schools. Yearly tuition is $1,820 for all full-day students and $1,300 for half-day Kindergarten students. Many other Christian & private schools are easily twice the price. Our low tuition makes it easy to get a quality education for one or more children.

Involved & Qualified Staff

Our teaching staff is known for faithfully serving God. They truly love the Lord and strive to pass that love on to their students. All our teachers are college graduates and have been trained in using the A Beka curriculum. We believe in informed parents. Our teachers want you to know what you can do to help, and they communicate through Parent/Teacher Meetings, memos, and newsletters.

Small School Environment

The average teacher / student ratio is significantly lower than the average Christian school. This allows for more individual attention and tutoring, and it also gives BRCA a personal touch. Many of the large-school problems are eliminated, and being located on a quiet, 1,300-acre Christian camping environment adds the essential safety parents look for in a school.

Importance Placed on Phonics

Our kindergarten students start learning intensive phonics on day one. By the end of the year, every graduating student can read. Public schools cannot offer this kind of educational foundation.

SAT Scores

All of our students are given achievement tests in the spring of each year to measure their achievement in areas of English, math, science, and social studies. We use the Stanford Achievement Test (SAT’s). On average, our students score 1.5 years ahead of other schoolchildren their age throughout the country, proving that our students receive a truly excellent education.

Bible Class / Chapel

Knowledge of the Bible is one of the greatest educational assets any person can have. Besides teaching moral and spiritual values, the Bible helps develop Christian character. Bible is an essential course for establishing a strong foundation for your child and is the first class taught each day. Elementary chapel allows our 2nd-6th graders to leave the classroom and hear the Bible taught to them at our Christian camp. When the Bible is taught at BRCA it is always age-appropriate and helpful.

Extra Classes

Our 5th grade students take typing class using Mavis Beacon, and our 6th graders learn Spanish with Rosetta Stone (used by NASA, the US State Department, thousands of schools, and millions of individuals in over 150 countries). All students take Sing Language, which is taught by the head of our Deaf Department. Music and art classes are taught to all students every week.

Also, Help Class is required for all struggling students. This class is done during school hours at no extra charge.

Private Piano Lessons

Private piano lessons are offered to students in 1st 6th grades. Students perform in a piano recital at the end of the year and always show much improvement.
